Mr. Luc Boulanger obtained a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Montreal in 1988 and holds a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Sherbrooke obtained in 1995. Having started his career in taxation in one of Montreal’s major accounting firms, Mr. Boulanger joined the firm in 1997, before being appointed director of tax Services for the department Bourassa Boyer Juri-Fisc in 2000 and becoming partner with the firm in 2005.

With almost 30 years of experience in taxation law, Mr. Boulanger’s practice is focused on SMEs and their shareholders, particularly in the context of mandates for the establishment of optimal corporate structures, corporate reorganizations, mergers and liquidations, business purchase and sale (M&A), implementation of succession plans, estate freezes and implementation of asset protection strategies. He also oversees the foreign expansion plans of clients.

Mr. Boulanger has acted as graduate supervisor in the Master of Taxation program for many students, some of whom were nominees for – or even winners of – awards. An internal trainer for the firm, he also given numerous tax conferences to business people in the region over the years.

Mr. Boulanger is a member of the Québec Bar, the Association de Planification Fiscale et Financière (APFF) and the Canadian Tax Foundation (CTF).
