Job Summary:

Reporting to the partners of the firm, your role will be to plan and prepare audit files, review engagements, compilations, and corporate tax returns.

Main Responsibilities:

Compilation and Bookkeeping:

  • Perform bookkeeping;
  • Carry out compilation mandates;
  • Produce unaudited financial statements.

Review Engagement:

  • Conduct review engagements;
  • Prepare financial statements;
  • Resolve review notes with the Quality and Control Department.

Audit:

  • Conduct system tests;
  • Perform sections in the mission;
  • Participate in inventory counts;
  • Participate in the preparation of financial statements;
  • Resolve review notes with the Quality and Control Department;
  • Make relevant recommendations to improve clients’ accounting practices;
  • Provide support to junior auditors.

Taxation:

  • Prepare personal and corporate tax returns;
  • Analyze notices of assessment;
  • Perform any other related tasks as required.

Qualifications and skills :

  • Possess or be in the process of obtaining a CPA professional designation;
  • Experience in an accounting firm;
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite;
  • Good command of French communication, both oral and written;
  • Team spirit, organizational skills, and results-oriented;
  • Excellent customer service, time management and priority management skills;
  • Professionalism, meticulousness, resourcefulness and rigor;
  • Knowledge of CaseWare and TaxPrep software (an asset);
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
