Job Summary:

Reporting to the partner in charge of interns for the accounting department, the CPA intern will participate in various accounting and financial assignments; His/her role will be to collaborate with and support the team of preparators on various customer mandates.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out certification mandates, including:
    • Planning and execution of year-end files on CaseWare software;
    • Preparation of financial statements;
    • Preparation of corporate tax returns.
  • Account for corporate transactions;
  • Prepare regularization entries;
  • Interact punctually with customers;
  • Communicate with government authorities as client representatives.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Have completed a second year of a bachelor’s degree in accounting;
  • Have the desire to complete a DESS and obtain the CPA designation;
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in French;
  • Team spirit, organizational skills and result oriented;
  • Excellent customer service, time management and priority management skills;
  • Professionalism, meticulousness, resourcefulness and rigor;
  • Knowledge of CaseWare and TaxPrep software (an asset);
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
