Me Marylène Gareau

Me Marylène Gareau joined the firm as an intern in 2016 in the Corporate Law team of Bourassa Boyer Juri-Fisc inc. After obtaining her Diploma of College Studies in Paralegal Technology in 2014, she also obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Law from Université de Montréal with distinction in 2015 and a Master’s degree in Notarial Law in 2017. She has been a member of the Chambre des notaires du Québec since 2017.
Through her university years, Me Gareau received the 2014-2015 award of the Barreau de Montréal for excellence in Business Law; the 2015-2016 award of the Chambre des notaires for excellence for graduates of the Bachelor’s degree in Law – Laureate for Université de Montréal; the 2015 award of the notarial chair for excellence of the baccalaureate academic record for entry into the Master’s studies in notarial law at Université de Montréal; the 2016 award of the notarial chair to highlight the excellence of her academic record at the Master’s degree in Notarial Law at Université de Montréal; and the 2016-2017 Narcisse-Pérodeau award for finishing second in the Notarial Law class of 2017.
Me Gareau primarily practices in business, commercial and corporate law for SMEs. Her practice focuses on corporate financing, commercial real estate transactions, incorporation and organization of businesses, purchase and sale of businesses, mergers and liquidations-dissolutions of businesses.
Furthermore, she is called to accompany her clients with the drafting of their will, testamentary trust, protection mandate and power of attorney. She also assists liquidators for estate settlements.
